Fall soon

I think I'm nearly done with school.  I have a full semester for the fall.  There should be another intercession class during winter and then follow up with spring semester.  I just need to figure out what kind of classes to take so that I can graduate with an Associates degree I'm something besides "general studies."  It's just figuring out which program my classes fit into. After fall, I should have my pick of almost anything.  I'd stick with criminal justice but that means going into law enforcement.  I guess I can talk to my CJ instructor about what all I would need to become a probation officer.  I can always do legal assisting later, by working my way up. Work is okay.  I'm a cashier at Walmart still but I'm going to try and see if I can now transfer to a different department and get full time hours and hopefully keep my pay. With the Blogger application for my phone, there is no reason why I shouldn't be able to update my blog.

Almost over?

There are about four weeks left of this semester.  I need to get registered for the Intersession classes (3 weeks), as well as both Summer semesters (5 weeks each).  I still need to talk to the VA about what I need to do for the Chapter 33 GI Bill and then financial aid about what happens with my Pell grant. I'm looking at five classes between now and the end of the summer.  I won't be able to take the science class I want (Physics) because it isn't offered during the summer.  I don't like the other sciences.  I'm still going for a major in Criminal Justice.  I don't like the C grade that I received in my Marketing class, so I'm going to take Intro to Criminal Justice in the Fall.  I'm hoping to get my Physics class done as well as my College Math. I'm crossing my fingers.

Heart in my throat

There are so many things going on in my head. School seems pretty big. I have so many interests in my head and I don't know what to do with them. I need to register, pay, study for, and take my cosmotology exam and get my license for that. Once that happens, my mother can finally feel that her oldest accomplished something in her life. I do have goals; it's just a matter of applying myself and doing what I need to do. Maybe when I have classes that don't have a lot of homework, like now, I can spend my time with my nose back in the Milady book and study. I don't remember the website to register and take the practice tests. I know what I may need to focus on more. My GI Bill runs out around the time I graduate from NTCC so any further schooling will be drawn only from grants. Grrrrrr........ Published with Blogger-droid v1.6.7

This last week.. whew!

I went into work early over the weekend to try and get Sprint cell phones for us.  He needs one for work and, in the long run, it'd be cheaper for both of us to get them.  Turns out, we couldn't get Sprint under my name (apparently, I still owe them from when we lived in San Diego; I was sure that was paid off before we moved), so I went with Verizon.  I'm going in early again today to adjust the plan; instead of unlimited minutes, I'm going with 700; I doubt we'll use that much.  We both have HTC Incredibles.  Neat phone, but getting used to it still.  We've made room in our budget for this, but if it becomes too tight, we'll just call and have them suspend our account until they're affordable and get pay-as-you-go phones. We've also been budget planning for Pat to get his own vehicle.  Since Mom will be moving in the next few months, it would be good for him to have one.  He's got $1,000 saved up (in the Bank & Trust of Mom, lol) for a dow...
