If I could teach my kids one thing about life...

That one thing would be that life is unfair, no matter how you look at it.  They also need to know that life is what you make of it.

I feel terrible that we can't do all the extra things that other parents and kids do.  On numerous occasions, Bella has brought home flyers for stuff that she'd like to do.  Most of the time, we can't do any of them due to work schedules. While we may not go all out for Yule and Solstice each year, we open gifts and celebrate on the Winter Solstice.  I've researched a little bit on the contemporary traditions.
